The PRC-77 is a portable, single-channel, squad-level radio used for two-way communication over short distances. It was developed by the United States Army in the early 1960s and was used extensively during the Vietnam War. The radio operates on frequencies between 30 MHz and 75.95 MHz and has a maximum power output of 2 watts. It weighs about 13 pounds and is powered by either a BA-5372/U or a BA-4386/U lithium battery pack.
